What a Chiropractor Does…

Chiropractic doctors are highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries and abnormalities common to the spine, extremities and rest of the body.  Chiropractors use a number of unique and highly refined skills to check the patient’s spine and/or extremities for any decreased joint mobility, signs of swelling, muscle spasm or other abnormalities which would point to the presence of the subluxation complex.

When detected, the doctor will generally use patient positioning and an appropriate vector of force to induce a return to normal motion.  This is called an adjustment.  In addition to the adjustment, chiropractors may use treatment protocols like soft tissue therapy (deep-tissue massage), physio-therapy, lifestyle/work modifications and nutritional advice.

Rest assured that if you are suffering from neck, back or extremity problems or other health related issues then a course of chiropractic care can help you experience the relief from pain, and a return to the activities that you most enjoy.

If your problem is outside of the chiropractic scope of practice, or your condition would be more appropriately managed by another health care practitioner, then you will be gladly and promptly referred.

Common Conditions Treated By Chiropractors...
