Dr. Ray uses two primary adjustive methods; Diversified and Activator.
Diversified is what most people associate with chiropractic. As described earlier, the doctor will use patient positioning and a manual thrust at an appropriate vector of force to induce a return to normal motion and provide a stimulus to the nervous system at the indicated segment. There is often an accompanying “pop” heard at the time of the adjustment.
Activator is an extremely safe low force chiropractic technique that uses an instrument to effect the adjustment. Patients are neither turned nor twisted and the instrument uses speed rather than displacement as its major input to the musculoskeletal system. There is no “pop” heard at the time of the adjustment.
